You’ve served your country admirably and you and your family have made many sacrifices over the years as part of your service. Many Americans, including many business owners, look for ways to say thank you to American veterans and active duty members by offering discounts on everyday services and products. These discounts can add up and make a difference for your budget, so it’s a great idea to research and ask whenever you get a chance.
While you shouldn’t necessarily expect one at every business you frequent, you may be surprised at how many businesses will, indeed, make you a deal. You typically must present some sort of proof of service – like your military ID, VA ID, or DD Form 214 – and be prepared to (patiently) talk to a manager if the employee is not aware of the discounts.
There are numerous nation-wide eating, shopping, travel and automotive businesses that offer ongoing military discounts, but we’ve collected some additional Phoenix-specific deals that can keep a little extra money in your pockets.
